Since 2015, Axel Cooley served as the Director of Business Development for a distinguished US Government contractor that operates U.S Foreign Trade Zone #70 under US Customs & Homeland Security. Here, she wrote several contracts for FEMA, Defense Logistics Agency and a GSA schedule. She also co-founded a company to serve as bridge between the US Government and the Commercial sector to bring the most advanced technologies to the warfighter. Further, she gained a position in Washington-based Import/Export Council as well as serving as an Advisor and Director of Communications for Women in Defense. For the 100th Anniversary of the National Defense Industrial Association, Axel was invited to Pentagon City in DC to host a special seminar, "The Power of Media" for all Women in Defense leaders and chapters.
